Name: (Garey) Sharp, Ginna HistorySince graduating, I went to KSU and obtained my BS degree in EL ED; while teaching in Wakefield, KS I worked on and received my masters degree in school counseling. The summer of 1996, I married Brian Sharp (class of '71) and worked for 9 yrs at Jewell as the school counselor. 3 yrs. ago, our district had a teaching position open up and I was hired. Currently, I teach at our high school and GE Elem. music. We have 3 boys: Chace, 21 student at KSU, Coe 15 will be a soph. @ LHS, Clayton 4 will go to preschool this Aug. in Cawker City.
MemoriesPrior to being a student and while I was a student, I spent most of my life at DHS. My dad is Meryl Garey, and we helped him a lot up at school (it was a family thing) I have memories of the town cop coming to our house in the early morning hours to tell Dad that the water on the football field was still going. My sister and I spent many times helping move irrigation pipe on the football field so it could be watered and look "Good" (for all of you that played FB from 67 until Dad retired)--and yes, the well at the west end of the field could be a dangerous trap. I have tons of memories of my life as a Dragon and will cherish them always. I had wonderful classmates and friends from all classes ahead of me and behind me while I was in HS.
