Name: Tanis, Jim
HistoryI attended NCKAVTS electronics department starting my senior year in 1972. In the spring of 1973, I started working part time for Kipers Gamble Store. Then I started Jim's
TV, a consumer electronics sales and service store, in Downs in October of 1975. I was married to Ruth (Geering) (Wise) in April of 2001. In November of 2004, I closed Jim's TV, moved to Hays (so I could finally live with my wife) and started working for Tri Central Office Supply where I am currently employed.
My current job is to service office equipment in an area about 90 miles diameter of Hays, Including the Downs area. I now have 9 grandchildren by marriage - 6 in Hays, and 3 in Topeka. My wife and I enjoy spoiling our grandchildren as well as traveling. Hobbies include Ham Radio , Radio Controlled Aircraft, Computer building, web design ( see www.agapesbc.org Photography ( see www.picasaweb.google.com/jimnx0r ) and bicycling.
