History

I have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. I was married to Don Nelson for 33 years until we lost him to a sudden heart attack in November 2006. Don worked for Schwan's Ice Cream for many years. We lived in Salina, Hays and Ottawa, KS. In late 1987 we transferred to Norman, OK, which we loved because of the OU excitement!!! In 1990 we were transferred to Edmond, OK and in 1991 we moved to Oklahoma City. I was a stay at home Mom and Schwan's bookkeeper for 10 years. I have since worked for Wal-Mart and TJ Maxx. I am currently at a Wal-Mart grocery store.

Memories

A funny time that I will never forget is Freshman year study hall. We were across the hall from Seniors and a couple of the Senior guys strung a string across the hall between rooms. A teacher, who I will not name, came down the hall and couldn't figure out what skimmed across her head!!! Great teachers, classmates and friends!
