HistoryI attended K-State for 4 years, graduating in 1974 with a BS in wildlife biology. I took a temporary job with Fish and Game in Lyndon, Kansas following graduation, doing a study on quail habitat. In 1975 I married Michael Beech of Erie, Kansas. We moved to Topeka, Kansas where I worked for Kelly Aquarium and Pet Supply until 1978 when I got a job as a laboratory education technician with the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. We bought a house near Perry Lake shortly after that. In 1984 I got divorced. I got my 30-year pin from KU this summer and also recently moved into my new house that I built on 27 acres near Lake Perry. I like to travel, and in recent years have visited Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, California, and Peru.
MemoriesI have fond memories of the class plays, the senior sneak, and the sticky buns. I have less fond memories of senior prom where I fell flat on my face after getting one of my high heels stuck in the red carpet. The heel actually broke off and I had to go downtown in my formal and get another pair of shoes!
