History

Married 9-19-1976 with 2 children… both girls moved to KC, MO, shortly after marriage and then back to Kansas where I have lived for the past 22 years. I have retired but my wife, still works as a RN at Salina Regional Med. Ctr. My oldest daughter "Kendra teaches English in Jakarta, Indonesia and my other girl is still in school at K-State. For about 20 years, I managed several auto-part stores, but retired from Saint Francis Boys Home in Ellsworth, KS. My hobbies include traveling by motorcycle, fishing, and coin collecting. I have never attended a reunion and am looking forward to being at this year’s celebration.

Memories

I remember 3 things vividly of my schooling at Downs! The first is attending school in the newly built round school building. The second thing would be the scolding from Mr. Rowe during History class about his thoughts that we were the most immature 8th grade class he had ever taught.  And, the final and most vivid memory has to be the Freshmen Class initiation.
