History

I am now living in Carney, Okla., retired from Southwestern Bell (1992), lost my husband Don, to cancer 2003. Now it's just me and my mean Yorkie, Tito. Enjoy traveling whenever and where ever the opportunity arises. For many years I have been in Downs over Memorial weekend and during Celebration.

 

Memories

Growing up in Downs with great parents and grandparents close, it seemed everyone was your friend. Walking to the library and to the 'show', the swimming pool and Louie's Drive Inn, skating on Saturday night...all was innocent, fun and safe. High School years were great. Cruising 'Main', Friday night dances at Bortz's, families being together at school activities. We never missed a ball game whether home or away. Still proud to stand, when the DHS school song is played at the alumni reunion.
