HistoryIn 1963 I married my high school sweetheart, Ted Schreiber. We have two sons, Eric who we adopted in 1968, and Kevin who was born in 1969. We now have seven
grandchildren. I worked for Kiper's Gamble Store in Downs for seventeen years, and then in 1978 I started working as a bookkeeper at the Downs National Bank. I was there for almost twenty six years. I've been retired for four years now, and spend my time reading,
playing cards, traveling with our travel trailer, and visiting our boys and grand children. Each year my sisters come home during the Downs celebration and we enjoy spending quality time with them. We've lived in Downs our whole lives, and find that it's a great place
to live and raise a family. MemoriesI always loved everything about High School. Playing in the band was probably the thing I liked best. We always had a really good trombone section, and I had many good friends who played with me. I always liked being a cheerleader, and to this day, can say some on the cheers that we did, and sing the songs that we used to sing. Like I am a Dragonette from D.H.S. It's always fun to think about those days, and talk with my sisters about the things that went on at school.
