History

Graduated in 1961 from Asbury Hospital School of Nursing in Salina. Married in March 1962. We have three daughters, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Worked as a nurse in Kansas, Ohio and New York & retired in 1998 from a small hospital in this area where I had worked 23 yrs. We had a farm for 15 years where we raised beef cattle and crops besides working our regular jobs. My husband is a retired Air Traffic Controller. We are presently enjoying our retirement living on a bay on Lake Ontario.

Memories

Have lots of fond memories of attending school in Downs and growing up in a small community where you knew most of the people. Now I look back and am especially appreciative of the small class sizes and the special friendships made during my 12 yrs. Really enjoyed our 50 year reunion. It was great to see everyone.
