History

Following graduation from DHS I attended Purdue University. I returned to Downs where I married my high school classmate Eileen Stroup where we had 3 children, Bob, Jyl and Mark. They are all currently enjoying successful careers. My father Albert and I started the Culligan Water Conditioning franchise in 1949 and I owned and operated the business until 1982 at which time Eileen & I moved to Gunnison, CO. In Gunnison, I attended Real Estate School and begin selling real estate. I have continued as a real estate broker for the past 26 years and have enjoyed living in Gunnison area. My hobbies are fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, golfing and snowshoeing.

Memories

Downs High was a great school with teachers that were extra special, each in his or her own way. They were more than teachers, they were good friends. I attended my 60 class reunion in October of 2007 and had a great time.
