History

In 1946, I married Orland F. (Cobb) Sellers; who was a 1943 graduate of Downs High School. We were married 51 years; had three children. He died of cancer in 1998. In 2001, I visited Downs, was re-acquainted with Henry Buikstra, who was also widowed (his wife of 47 years was Althea Voss Buikstra; also a Downs Alum). Henry and I have been married for seven years and live in Downs. I worked in the First National Bank of Phillipsburg for 25 years; retiring in 1993. Henry was a Dentist here for 40 years; we enjoy retirement together.
