History

After graduation from Downs High School I was drafted into service during WWII. I retired from farming in 1966 and retired from the Kansas Department of Vehicles as a Drivers License Examiner in 1986.

I married Doris Jacobe in 1946; we had two daughters. Gwen passed away in 1962 and Irva lives in Corvallis, Oregon. We have two grandchildren, Eric and Katie, who are married and live on the west coast.
